On June 28, 2009 Nicholas and Ashleigh depart from Juneau, Alaska on a ten thousand-mile journey around America, with visits to Canada and Mexico Their chariot is a 2005 Jeep Liberty and their lodging is a 15-foot 2005 Fun Finder T139 travel trailer. They will float from Juneau to Prince Rubert, British Columbia, then drive south to Kent, Washington, where they will pick up the Fun Finder from the dealership. After a 4th of July weekend in Seattle they will head East as far as Yellowstone, where they will turn south and visit Arches, Bryce, and Zion National Parks. After a stop by Las Vegas, they will turn East and go to the Grand Canyon, Mesa, Arizona, and Carlsbad Caverns. After that they will cross the continent and to the eastern seaboard, then northward through New England to Maine, ferry accross to Nova Scotia, loop back around to the West across southern Canada, then drop down across the Michigan Upper Peninsula and to Madison, Wisconsin. Phew!
They will drive through British Columbia, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, DC, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and finally Wisconsin.
